The 8 E's to Successful Leadership

Leadership is nuanced.

It is skill-set that may comes naturally to some.

To others leadership is learned through years of evolution brought on through pain, failure, mistakes, trial and error and small victories along the way.

Leadership is not for everyone.

It can be scary to contemplate.
It can be a heavy burden to carry.
It can be transformative if wielded judiciously.

These are the eight E's of a truly effective and impactful leader.

A leader must be endowed with these E's:
• Embrace the opportunity
• Educate his/her self
• Evolve into the best version of their self
• Excellence is their personal standard

A leader must endow others with these E's:
• Encourage others in their pursuits
• Empower others to grow into their best self
• Elevate others who are deserve and/or need the boost
• Enable others to take steps in positive growth patterns

This is a mental journey that I am taking as I formulate a thesis of effective, impactful leadership.

I have had many nights recently where I suddenly awaken from a deep sleep. On such nights, my mind begins to race and race and race.... and RACE! Chasing Numbers or Changing LIVEs

You can CHASE numbers or CHANGE live... In business you have choices to make, what you pursue and how you do it. You can choose to focus your efforts on numbers. You can reach for: ➕️ more followers, ➕️ higher sales, ➕️ more likes, ➕️ greater revenue. 🔹️Numbers show progress. 🔹️Numbers validate your thesis. 🔹️Numbers placate your insecurities. Ultimately focusing on numbers puts everything else on a lower plane. 📉 Quality suffers. 📉 People are devalued. 📉 Relationships disintegrate. Isolation vs Solitude

  The journey from Failure to Success is ALWAYS about truth and wholeness. Wholeness can not be found in isolation. Isolation is reactionary and defensive in nature. It is a posture based on pain, fear and distrust. We often isolate ourselves from friends and family for various reasons. Sometimes the reason is real. Sometimes it is imagined. The lens with which we view the world may be inaccurate and tainted because of past trauma. Our personal history can obscure our view of ourselves and humanity. We withdraw from social interactions because we falsely believe it is the safest choice. In reality it most often is destructive to our psyche and stunts our healing process. Solitude however is a very different posture. It is reflective, introspective and healing in nature. In solitude we can become. Whole. Healthy. Rested. Humble.
