I saw Daymon John, the founder of FUBU The Collection, LLC give this advise to a founder seeking investor on Shark Tank.

He told the aspiring entrepreneur to narrow his sku offerings to that one thing.

He said that the founder's pitch was confusing, because he was heading in too many directions. His product offering was too muddy.

There was no clarity.

Daymon went on to explain that FUBU and UnderArmor were launched in the same year.

UnderArmor is currently valued at about 5 billion dollars, whereas FUBU is a fraction of that.

❓️ Why is this?

The reason according to Daymon John is simple.

He said that Kevin Plank,founder of UnderArmor lazer focused on one thing. Creating the best performance fabric world-wide.

Daymon John said that when creating his brand FUBU. he foucsed on nothing specific, but the brand.

If he had focused on one amazing product, he believes that FUBU would have been worth billions, not hindreds of millions.

Isolation vs Solitude

  The journey from Failure to Success is ALWAYS about truth and wholeness. Wholeness can not be found in isolation. Isolation is reactionary and defensive in nature. It is a posture based on pain, fear and distrust. We often isolate ourselves from friends and family for various reasons. Sometimes the reason is real. Sometimes it is imagined.
